Sharon Allen has been Chief Executive of Arthur Rank Hospice Charity in Cambridgeshire since April 2019.
Prior to this Sharon was CEO at Skills for Care, and previously, CEO at a large not-for-profit social care and supported housing organisation in the north of England. Sharon is a trustee and deputy chair of trustees at Hospice UK, having held numerous trustee and non-exec Board positions during the past twenty years.
A qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, Sharon has a degree in Housing, an MBA, a Diploma in Coaching and is a member of the Association of Coaching. In 2015 Sharon was awarded an OBE for services to social care, housing and homelessness. In 2020 she was awarded a Fellowship from City and Guilds Institute for commitment to supporting life-long learning.
