Further work is now being carried out by an independent research organisation who have launched a public survey to better understand the following issues:
- How patients currently travel to appointments
- The circumstances that shape travel choices
- Barriers to accessing care
- What could make access easier, now and in the future
The Mount Vernon Cancer Centre is currently located in Northwood, providing non-surgical specialist cancer care and treatment to people across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire as well as North West London, North Central London, and parts of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
Specialist diagnostic imaging is also provided on site by the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, a leading medical imaging facility.
We especially want to hear from:
- Patients who have used Mount Vernon Cancer Centre or the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre.
- People who were offered services but were unable to attend, for example due to travel difficulties
- Anyone with experience of travelling to the site
Your feedback will help inform improvements to access and shape future services.
The travel and access survey is separate from the formal public consultation on the future of Mount Vernon Cancer Centre which closed on 29 March. However, the findings will help inform future planning, including any decisions about relocation.
You can complete the online survey on the Opinion Research Services website but please note, the survey closes on 16 May.
