Let’s talk about cancer – the National Cancer Plan

Time:
18:30 to 19:30

The National Cancer Plan was published on World Cancer Day 4 February 2026. The plan sets out the priorities and commitments needed to make England a world-leader for cancer survival and build an NHS fit for the future

The plan’s central ambition is that by 2035, more people will survive cancer or live well with cancer. Amanda Pleavin, Managing Director for the East of England Cancer Alliance will explain what the plan means for patients in this area. Alongside Amanda, hear from a patient who helped to develop the plan.

There will also be plenty of time for your questions.

The patient group have all experienced cancer themselves, or cared for someone with cancer, and are putting on a series of talks and information sessions designed to raise awareness and give people an opportunity to ask any questions of the expert speakers or experienced patients.
