Pól Toner joins the ICB as Director of Safeguarding and Complex Care. He is a fully trained nurse and clinical coach with experience from both the NHS and charity sector.
Before joining the ICB, Pól held many roles at a local, regional, and national level, including Director of Nursing for Essex, Regional Director of Nursing (Specialised Commissioning) at NHSE, and Head of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities at the Strategic Health Authority. He most recently worked as Director of Care at East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), where his compassionate leadership style helped support the work of the charity.
Pól is passionate about system working and bringing his experience of major change programmes and compassionate, values driven leadership to the ICB.
