There are simple things we can all do to help ourselves and those around us stay well this winter.

Getting the vaccinations you’re eligible for can help protect you from serious illness, while planning ahead can make sure you have what you need if you become unwell. And if you do need help, knowing where to go can help you get the right NHS advice, treatment or support.

Protect – Help reduce the risk for you and others.

  • Get the vaccinations you’re eligible for to help protect yourself from serious illness.
  • Wash your hands regularly and cover coughs and sneezes to help stop infections spreading.
  • Take extra care around others if you’re unwell, particularly people who may be more vulnerable.

Prepare – Plan ahead so you have what you need.

  • Keep your medicine cabinet stocked with everyday essentials so you can manage common minor illnesses at home.
  • Order repeat prescriptions in good time so you don’t run out of the medicines you need.
  • Use the NHS App to access health services and support, including ordering repeat prescriptions.

Stay Well – Look after yourself and know where to go when you need help.

  • Look after your physical and mental wellbeing and seek support if you need it.
