Looking after your physical and mental wellbeing can help you stay well through the colder months. Keeping active, staying connected with others and taking time to look after yourself can all make a difference.
Keep active
Keeping active is good for both your physical and mental wellbeing. Even when the weather is colder, try to keep moving and build activity into your everyday routine.
Going for a walk, gardening, dancing, doing activities around the home or simply getting up and moving regularly can all help. Find something you enjoy and that works for you and your abilities.
If you’re spending more time indoors, try to break up long periods of sitting by getting up and moving around regularly.

Look after your wellbeing
Taking care of your mental wellbeing is just as important as looking after your physical health.
Make time for things you enjoy, keep in touch with friends and family and try to maintain a regular routine. Getting outside during the day, staying active and connecting with other people can all be good ways to support your wellbeing.
If you’re struggling with your mental health or finding things difficult, remember that support is available. You don’t have to manage things on your own.
